ESSAY

The bell rang, signaling the end of recess. Jackson was on his way back to his classroom when he caught sight of a mysterious figure sneaking out of the Student Council room. The person was dressed in a brown cap, their identity obscured by the low brim covering their face. They closed the door stealthily, drawing Jackson's attention. His curiosity was piqued, especially as the stranger darted away, constantly checking their surroundings.

A sense of unease gripped Jackson. The Student Council office was typically locked during lunch, and the unfamiliar figure heightened his suspicions. Could this person have taken the money raised by Jackson's class for their Hong Kong trip?

Ignoring potential consequences, Jackson acted on impulse and decided to tail the mysterious individual. He discreetly followed them to a dark blue sedan parked by a hedge near the lot. With a racing heart, he made a mental note of the license plate, convinced he had witnessed a theft.

Later on, Jackson encountered Sophia, the Student Council treasurer, who was distraught upon discovering the missing funds for the class excursion – over three thousand dollars gone in an instant.

Searching the office with Sophia, Jackson noticed something amiss. While the money box remained, the bills inside bore identical serial numbers, indicating they were counterfeit.

“He swapped the real money for these fakes, hoping you wouldn’t realize,” Jackson deduced.

Sophia wasted no time alerting the authorities, providing them with the license plate information Jackson had memorized. In a rapid turn of events, the culprit was apprehended, and the stolen money retrieved. It was revealed that Sophia had inadvertently disclosed sensitive details about the cash during a conversation at a nearby fast💥food eatery. The thief, seated nearby, had seized the opportunity to act.

For his quick thinking and alertness, Jackson was praised by the principal at the assembly the following day. Despite the risks involved, his timely intervention and perception helped crack the case.
